There are no ads, no in-app purchases designed to manipulate children, no dark patterns, and no addictive mechanics. We make money from subscriptions — not from exploiting your child's attention.
Age-Appropriate Everything
Content, interactions, and interfaces are carefully tailored to each age group. A 5-year-old and a 15-year-old have fundamentally different experiences — because they should.

No Data Selling or Sharing
Your child's data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for commercial purposes. Full stop.
AI Content Review & Moderation
Every AI-generated response passes through multi-layer safety filters checking for age-appropriateness, accuracy, and harmful content.
Human Oversight of AI
A dedicated safety team reviews AI outputs continuously. Flagged content is escalated immediately and our models are refined based on human judgment.
Regular Security Audits
Independent security assessments and penetration testing conducted quarterly. Vulnerabilities are patched immediately.

Account Creation & Management
Only parents can create accounts. You manage every aspect of your child's profile — from personal details to connected services. Full control, always.
Time Limits & Scheduling
Set daily and weekly screen time limits. Create learning schedules that work for your family. Receive notifications when time is almost up.
Content Filters
Choose which subjects, difficulty levels, and content types your child can access. Tailor the experience to your family's values and your child's needs.
Activity Reports
Detailed, clear reports showing what your child learned, when they were active, which quests they completed, and how they interacted with the AI mentor.
Communication Controls
MentorStar has no child-to-child messaging, no social features, and no public profiles. The only communication is between your child and the AI mentor — and you can review it all.

COPPA-Aligned
United States
We follow the principles of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. This means verifiable parental consent before collecting any child data, strict data minimization, and the right for parents to review and delete data at any time. We say "aligned" rather than "compliant" because we go beyond the letter of the law — COPPA sets the floor, not our ceiling.
GDPR Article 8
European Union
Full alignment with GDPR's specific provisions for children's data. This includes lawful basis for processing, data protection impact assessments, privacy by design, and the right to erasure. Parental consent is obtained for all users under 16.
UAE PDPL
United Arab Emirates
As an Abu Dhabi-based company, we comply fully with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law. This includes purpose limitation, data processing agreements, cross-border transfer safeguards, and appointment of a data protection point of contact.
Regular Compliance Reviews

Privacy and safety regulations evolve, and so do we. We conduct regular internal compliance reviews and engage independent auditors to ensure we stay ahead of regulatory requirements across all markets we serve.
Report a Concern
If you ever encounter anything on MentorStar that concerns you — whether it's content, behavior, or a safety issue — we want to hear about it immediately. Every report is reviewed by a human within 24 hours.
What happens when you report: Every report goes directly to our safety team — not a queue, not a bot. We investigate, we respond, and we take action. If a report involves a legal or law enforcement matter, we have established protocols for escalation.
